Since returning home to Cornwall after studying at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Kate has been a regular on the Cornish music scene. Over the years she has played many roles with local theatre and opera companies. Her ability to sing both Musical Theatre and Opera has led her to playing a wide range of roles from the tragic Cio-Cio San in Madam Butterfly to the gun-toting, tomboy heroine of Calamity Jane.

She has been a soloist for many choirs in the region and is now a choir leader herself having taken up the reigns of MD for Marazion Apollo Male Choir in 2013. She is looking forward to her next challenge which will be as one of four conductors (and the only female MD!) to lead the Combined Cornish Male Voice Choir at a Gala concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall in October 2020.
